Dear circus lovers, in this uncertain time dominated by Coronavirus fear, we need to support each other more than ever. Aerial Art House was created to support the community and so far, we have achieved great results through our classes and activities designed for all ages and levels. Unfortunately, this virus is having a devastating impact on our business. Big events and birthday parties have been cancelled, our classes are less and less busy and some of them had to be cancelled. We fear we won’t be able to pay next month rent. If you are a regular customer and you are financially stable, if you love training here and would like to come back when this madness is over, please help us keep the centre alive by donating some money through the link below. We appreciate your gesture whatever the amount you choose to donate. Thank you in advance!

What we all can do to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus?
What is Coronavirus (COVID-19) and what are the symptoms?
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses which can cause respiratory illnesses ranging from the common cold to the more severe such as Severe Acute Respiratory Symptom (SARS). The current issues are caused by a new strain of Coronavirus which broke out in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, causing the disease COVID-19. Knowledge about the strain is emerging but limited and advice based on experience with previous coronaviruses. The Virus is spread by respiratory droplets in coughs and sneezes. It enters the body via the nose, mouth and eyes. It can survive on hard surfaces for up to 48hrs. A person, therefore, gets infected by breathing in droplets when facing an infected person or by touching their eyes, nose or mouth after touching surfaces or objects containing droplets. Symptoms are likely to develop within 5 days but incubation (time from infection to symptoms) can be 1 to 14days after exposure. Older people and those with pre-existing medical conditions are most at risk to develop the severe disease (high blood pressure, heart disease, lung disease, cancer or diabetes). Treatment focuses on symptom relieve. There is currently no cure or vaccine. Common symptoms:
Hello and welcome to the Circus Miracles first blog post! Let's start it off with a question...
Have you ever thought about how circus activities might have health benefits? Most people haven’t; but you’d be surprised how beneficial circus really can be! Aerial Art House was founded a little over 2 years ago in Edinburgh, Scotland. While it’s still in its early stages, I (Hania) have had many opportunities to observe many different people and see how circus has created miracles in each of their own, unique lives. There have been many transformations, internally and externally, taking place in both adults and children. I’ve seen shy and timid people transform into strong, confident, happy human beings. It’s a wonderful sight to see! I’ve found out that Circus, as a discipline, facilitates positive emotional, physical, and mental health wellbeing. In some ways, circus is like a therapy. It promotes better quality of life by being a fun, creative way to exercise and meet new people. (Below is a link that has a few facts about circus and its benefits.) holisticcircustherapy.com/about/how-it-works?fbclid=IwAR1Sii_cZWjjNMhNbMxD2YBtCtb0bJhMMWFGZZsZChdpmIPl52dHazc41ckhttp://holisticcircustherapy.com/about/how-it-works?fbclid=IwAR1Sii_cZWjjNMhNbMxD2YBtCtb0bJhMMWFGZZsZChdpmIPl52dHazc41ck By learning such incredible facts about how circus can be a therapy and observing what has been happening in Aerial Art House, I had the idea of starting a blog called Circus Miracles. Throughout posts, there will be real stories about people who have experienced circus and how it has improved their lives. We hope that with this blog, we will be able to expand the knowledge, understanding, and experience of the holistic therapy of circus among those who need it most. We hope we will be able to help improve the lives of people all over the world and maybe get more people into the wonderful world of circus! -Hania and Amanda |
