Aerial Silks classes

Suitable for all levels from beginners to intermediate, this class focuses on improving strength, flexibility and technique and building up a repertoire of moves that can be strung together to create aerial sequences. This class is quite unique among other trapeze classes available around. It is focused on transitions between movements, building routines, and developing creativity. You will be given a chance to think about alternative ways of going from one position to another, improve your general understanding of the equipment, and experiment in synchronizing your sequences with the music!

This class is quite unique among other trapeze classes available around. It is focused on transitions between movements, building routines, and developing creativity. Aerial Yoga draws from the alignment and techniques of yoga, using a low hanging, wide Aerial Sling to aid in moving through traditional yoga postures. By supporting your body weight on the Aerial Sling, it helps to access these postures and deep stretches in a more relaxed way.
One of the primary features of using a Yoga Hammock is its ability to decompress the spine and mitigate joint stress as you practice stretches and positions with the support of the sling. The ‘weightless’ aspect of these classes assist in allowing you to access a wider range of movement, moving through poses that would otherwise be restricted.

Chinese Pole Classes
.Mixed Level - Suitable for beginners
Monday 7.30pm - 9pm and Wednsday 7.30pm - 9pm

Flipping climbing and sliding with elements of aerial, dance and free running.
Chinese pole are vertical shafts of aluminum covered by neoprene which is used by circus performers and fitness enthusiasts for climbing, sliding down and holding the poses. These poles are generally between 3 and 9 meters in height. Chinese pole in Aerial Art House/Aerial room is 5.5 meters height, with crash mats around the pole provided.
Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn for Chinese Pole Class. Students are advised to wear leggings under old jeans with soft belt. Please note that the pole is covered in rubber so it can be harsh on your clothes, thicker clothes are better. If you are trying the class for the first time it is recommend that you wear slim soles, soft flexible trainers or Feivues (it is a good idea to find some shoes a size smaller than you would normally wear). If you would like to continue training in Chinese Pole it is strongly recommended that you purchase professional Chinese Pole footwear such as Tabi boots, which can be purchased online

We will focus on loosening up your hips, hamstrings, spine and shoulders to get a greater range of movement.
Prepare yourself for more graceful aerial experience or just a happier, centered body.

A persistent myth about contortionists is that they are all born with unusual natural flexibility, while this is true in some cases with persistent training anybody can attain the same level of flexibility .
This class is for students who want to improve their existing flexibility skills. It will build a foundation of contortion basics.
It's for those with willingness and ability to try basic contortion tricks, such as: bridges, chest stand, over splits, elbow stands and more.

These fun classes will take you right from the beginning or a level you feel comfortable with and build basic teqnique in both acrobatics and dance. We will blend these two seamlessly together into polished routines you will be confident to perform. We will be starting with floor based skills such as forward rolls and cartwheels as well as basic dance steps. As students progress we will look at more challenging moves in both acro and dance, learning to trust yourself with shifting movement and weight on both your hands and feet.

Starting from November, Aerial Art House will be offering a monthly memberships for all those who want to keep training in between classes, but cannot join in as professional members.
You will have many different training slots available during the week, and your training sessions will always be supervised by an adequately insured and qualified person.
